dan goozee and karin jurick . . .

It's fascinating to see artists create wonderful masterpieces using one color range. What is that called? Basically Karin (in the second painting) used yellow, ochre, orange and umber along with the complement (I read books) and an exciting hint of blue/green/violet in the corner. The woman's skin tone, hat and bodice (in the first painting) by Dan Goozee are in the same basic color range with the excitement of greens and blues at the bottom. I love how he made the light play across her hat. Two exciting paintings! I am going to paint a masterpiece in one color range with an exciting hint of another color . . . just you wait and see!
